(October 4, 2006) – MJB Public Relations Group received top honors for its communications work – winning a prestigious Silver Quill Award of Excellence from the International Association of Business Communications (IABC) Southern Region and three Silver PRISM Awards from the Greater Kansas City Public Relations Society of America (PRSA). The agency’s “Post-Katrina Communication & Investment Campaign,” for Louisiana Corporate Credit Union in New Orleans, received first place in IABC’s External Communication Programs award category. The Silver Quill is the highest honor given at the association’s annual awards program, which received nearly 300 entries from IABC chapters in 14 states. MJB Public Relations Group also received three Silver PRISM Awards at the recent Greater Kansas City PRSA annual awards gala, for the “Post-Katrina Communication & Investment Campaign” as well as a feature-writing project, “Redefining Normal,” on behalf of Southeast Corporate Credit Union in Tallahassee, Fla., and the agency’s own direct-mail postcard project.
