Before forming MJB Public Relations Group, Margaret was Vice President of Public Affairs & Communications for U.S. Central Credit Union – the nation’s wholesale corporate credit union with $35 billion in assets. Previously, she served as Vice President of Public Relations and Communications for Western Corporate Federal Credit Union (WesCorp) in California. During her 15 years at WesCorp, Margaret developed the company’s image as the nation’s leading corporate credit union and made her industry mark by directing the efforts of the National Alliance of Credit Unions, an ad hoc “strike force” for regulatory improvement comprised of more than 200 credit unions. Margaret is a member of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) and serves on the Board of Directors for the Kansas City chapter. IABC, PRSA and the Credit Union Executives Society have recognized her public relations campaign achievements and annual report work with numerous honors. Margaret earned a master’s degree in business administration from the University of LaVerne in California, and a bachelor’s degree in public relations from California State University. She also is a graduate of the Western CUNA Management School, where she was inducted into the Academic Hall of Fame in 1989. She graduated with honors, and was the 1989 recipient of the Charles M. Clark Award for Academic Achievement and Leadership. Margaret has been certified as a Development Educator by the National Credit Union Foundation. Margaret also serves as an adjunct assistant professor at William Jewell College, Liberty, Mo., where she teaches “Real World Writing.” Lisa Mallow
Most recently, Lisa worked as Manager of Public Affairs and Communications for U.S. Central Credit Union, the nation’s wholesale corporate credit union. Other past positions have included Director of Marketing and Communications for The Learning Exchange, a non-profit educational training and consulting agency; Senior Public Relations Specialist for Premiere Conferencing, a group communications company; and Account Executive for Fleishman-Hillard, an international public relations agency. Lisa is an active member of the Public Relations Society of America/Greater Kansas City Chapter, where she formerly served as an executive board member and co-chairman of the public service committee. She also is a founding board member of the Kansas Jump$tart Coalition for Financial Literacy, a recent graduate of the Lenexa Chamber of Commerce program Leadership Lenexa, and a classroom volunteer for Junior Achievement of Mid-America. Lisa earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia, and completed master-level graduate studies in Educational Psychology and Research at the University of Kansas. Cheryl received her master’s degree in business administration from St. Louis University in Missouri and her bachelor’s degree in business administration from Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Nancy Anderson
In her work as a licensed psychotherapist and staff member at the Psychological and Counseling Center of Vanderbilt University, in Nashville, Tenn., Nancy wrote policies and procedures for dealing with such areas as difficult clients, crisis response, and organizational issues. Her background also includes education in journalism and creative writing; and she has written and produced numerous newsletters, investigative articles and white papers. Nancy’s research has been published in professional psychological journals. Nancy received her master’s degree in psychology from Vanderbilt University, Nashville, Tenn.; and her bachelor of science degree from the University of Tennessee at Nashville. Gary Blankers Gary has a broad business management background, bringing more than 30 years of experience to MJB Public Relations Group’s administration. During his work with a Fortune 500 company, achieved significant success in the areas of quality control, customer satisfaction, production and distribution, inventory, and budget planning and management. He is well-respected for his leadership skills and management strengths, and has a proven track record for successful change management and process improvements. Before joining MJB Public Relations Group, Gary had served with ConAgra Foods in various management positions with increasing responsibility. Most recently, he was a Production Planning Manager, responsible for raw material usage, improvement and logistics. He was instrumental in upgrading both product quality and operational efficiencies, saving the company an accumulated $26 million annually. Gary also led the development of a systems management tracking program that resulted in savings of more than $215 million in raw materials over 14 years. Gary received his bachelor’s degree from Washington State University and has a CPIM certification from the American Production & Inventory Control Society. |
